Tipperary Tipples is a light, subtly sweet red wine, made with a blend of quality Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown at Tipperary Estate’s prime Moffatdale vineyard (in the the northern end of the South Burnett Wine Region, near Murgon and Bjelke-Petersen Dam) . With great depth of flavour and supple, well rounded mouth-feel, the semi sweet red wine is designed to be served lightly chilled, and is the perfect drink for warm summer days when your palate demands something more robust than a white wine. Absolutely fabulous for a BBQ, bursting with fresh berry flavours and by no means sickly-sweet (even Shannon – an avowed dry wine drinker – is very keen on it), this will reward the adventurous with a truly enjoyable experience.
This small family vineyard focuses on quality and consistency, leading to many award winning wines. Established high on the northern slopes overlooking the Barambah Valley, near Bjelke-Petersen Dam, Tipperary Estate is blessed with an ideal climate of warm summer days, tempered by cool afternoon and evening breezes and cold frosty winter mornings. This climate, combined with structured soils and painstaking attention to detail in the vineyard allows Tipperary Estate to create the clean, fresh vibrant style of wines that characterise the South Burnett Region.
