South Burnett Verdelho is widely considered to be some of the finest in Australia (and the world for that matter) and this is a stunning example of why. Light, vibrant and aromatic, the bouquet exudes gently from the glass with lifted citrus, passionfruit and melon notes. Complex and rich with fruit (think green apple and paw-paw) on the palate, with a more complex, smoother and better-rounded light-dry finish than new release verdelho, this should continue to develop in the bottle until at least 2018. Best matched with fresh Hervey Bay bugs, or grilled fish. Will appeal to drinkers of Pinot Gris/Pinot Grigio as it ages. Terrific value!
