South Burnett Verdelho is widely considered to be some of the finest in Australia (and the world for that matter). With this cellar re-release, the addition of Semillon adds depth, character and length that can sometimes be missing in a straight varietal example. Easy drinking and well balanced, it matches well with almost any food and is the perfect all-rounder. Restrained, tropical aromatics and vibrant fruit flavours abound in this mellow and yet complex blend (70% Verdelho, 30% Semillon) and should drink well until 2019. The typical verdelho fruitiness is given life by the tighter, more structured body of Semillon. This Verdelho Semillon blend will appeal to drinkers of Pinot Gris/Pinot Grigio or SSB (Semillon Sauvignon Blanc) fans.
