Red Zipp 2016 is Kingley Grove’s sparkling red made with quality Chambourcin grapes in the traditional French Champagne method (bottle fermented). The latest release of this acclaimed style is vibrant and full flavoured, with characteristic sparkling red flavours of toast and dried fruit with excellent length. An earthy, mild spicy nose and a creamy mouth-feel, the perfect compliment to roasted game or turkey, and a must for Christmas celebrations. Drink now or until 2019.
Kingsley Grove deliver true “Estate Grown” wines, where the wines are produced entirely at the estate. From the growing (under the tutelage of acclaimed viticulturist Peter Stewart), picking, wine-making, cellaring and bottling, Simon Berry – (son of the owners Mike and Pat) along with his wife Jo – handcraft a diverse array of quality European-style wines with a distinctive South Burnett twist. First established in 1998, the vineyard sits at an elevation 430 metres, enjoying the cooling influence of the nearby Bunya Mountains. Currently there are more than 10 grape varieties covering 24 acres (10 hectares) grown onsite.
